Server Pack Builder

Point it at a Minecraft server and it builds the modpack that server actually needs.

A native Windows helper written in Rust with an egui window and no web view. Type an address, press build: it pings the server with the Server List Ping protocol, works out the loader from the version string, reads the mod list the server exposes and fetches every mod it can find on Modrinth, matched to that version and loader. A modpack server says which pack and version it runs, so the app asks CurseForge, lists every published version and installs the one you pick, including the pack's configs and scripts.

The second half is the part people underestimate: a folder full of jars is not a game. "Install this version" fetches Minecraft itself, every library and asset hash-checked against Mojang, shares one asset store between packs, and downloads the Temurin Java runtime the version asks for. Re-running resumes and skips what is already there; nothing is ever executed by the app.

  • Detects Forge, NeoForge, Fabric, Quilt and vanilla from the server status and version string.
  • Downloads only from Modrinth and the CurseForge CDN, with hash verification on every file.
  • Refuses redirects, embedded executables, path traversal and anything over 1 GiB.
  • Writes packs/<host>_<port>/ with mods, server.json and a runnable client.
