StreamKit

Host your own stream on your own PC and show it on your own website.

Your own stream, on your own PC, on your own website. One script tag gives you video, chat, points, clips and tip alerts.

Nothing runs on my servers: OBS sends to your machine and the kit serves it from there.

  • Video: OBS sends RTMP or SRT to your PC; MediaMTX turns it into low-latency HLS that every browser and phone plays.
  • Chat with anonymous names by default, optional Google sign-in with your own client id, slow mode, timeouts and no links.
  • Points for watching and chatting, watch streaks with bonuses, a reward shop with cooldowns, and coin rain.
  • Clips cut from the recording by any viewer, tip alerts from your own tip link, an OBS overlay for alerts, and a status page with the OBS settings, the embed hook and a reachability check.
  • Your own radio: the Ondographics radio relay plays your music next to the stream, kept out of the broadcast, the recording and the clips.
  • The embed uses your colours through CSS variables; your website only needs one script tag.

Setup in eight steps

The same steps are in the README inside the kit (Dutch, with an English section) and on the kit's own status page. Written for someone who has never opened a router page.

  1. Download. Sign in on your account page and press Download StreamKit. Unzip it somewhere you will find it again, for example C:\StreamKit.
  2. Double-click StreamKit.bat. The first start downloads the media server, makes your stream key and opens the status page at http://127.0.0.1:8798/. Keep that window open while you stream.
  3. Copy your installation ID from the status page and paste it on your account page under StreamKit licence, then press Request licence.
  4. Paste the key. Your licence key appears on your account page once issued. Paste it into the Licence box on the status page. Until then the kit runs as a 30-minute trial per start.
  5. OBS. Settings, Stream, Service Custom. The status page shows the server address and the stream key to copy. Keyframe interval 2 s, 3000 to 6000 kbps.
  6. Make it reachable. Viewers are on the internet, your PC is behind a router. Pick one of the two roads below; the status page tests both and says reachable when it works.
  7. Put the tag on your website. Copy the one-line embed from the status page into the page where the stream should appear. Set your colours with CSS variables if you want to.
  8. Test. Start streaming in OBS, open your website on your phone over mobile data, and watch yourself. Write something in chat. Done.

Road A: one port on your router plus a free hostname

Forward one TCP port (443) on your router to your PC, get a free dynamic DNS name (DuckDNS or similar), type the name on the status page and the kit fetches a real HTTPS certificate through Caddy. Best picture, no middleman. Pick this when you can sign in to your router.

Road B: a tunnel

If your router is managed by your provider or you cannot forward a port, the kit can run a Cloudflare tunnel (free, needs a domain in Cloudflare) or a Tailscale funnel (free, no domain needed). The tunnel gives you a public https address; everything else stays the same. Pick this when road A is impossible.

Your upload speed is the ceiling: every viewer downloads exactly the bitrate OBS sends, so 20 viewers at 4500 kbps is about 90 Mbit/s up. Chat, points, streaks and clips are small. Studio licences get a co-host key per channel: a friend streams to your PC under their own channel name and your website shows them on the same tag with data-channel.

Your own radio with Ondographics

  1. Get the app from the kit. On the StreamKit status page, card Ondographics, press Download Ondographics. That download is Ondographics Kit, with the radio in it: it is fetched with the licence key already on your PC, so no account is needed, and it starts with no station address until you fill one in.
  2. Open Menu, Mixer and extras in Ondographics and scroll to The radio.
  3. Paste the two values from the StreamKit status page (card Radio): the URL (http://127.0.0.1:8799 on the same PC) and the key. The page opens that list by itself once the download is done, with both ready to copy; the port 9864 needs no filling in.
  4. Switch the radio on and play music in the mixer.
  5. Check the status page: it shows radio: receiving with the song title within seconds.
  6. Your website tag already carries the receiver: the embed shows a Listen button whenever the radio is on, so there is nothing to install on your site.
